Day two was even more fun and especially more busy. We started off with a nice breakfast then were on our way.The second day, my group and I went up Firescrew and then to Mt. Cardigan. We started off on the trail up the Firescrew first. It had some slippery rocks but that was fine. When we got halfway up, we could look down and see a huge lake. This is probably because Mt. Cardigan is in the lakes region, New Hampshire. There is also a small grassy region on Cardigan, and a rocky region on top of both the mountains. When we got to the top of Firescrew we could see even further, then even further on Mt.Cardigan's peak! It was beautiful and awe inspiring, I will never forget it! Then we went down, and what seemed like a long hike up, was a very short hike down. I had so much fun, I didn't want it to end! But It did, and we had an amazing dinner and went to bed.

This is an Alpine bog. Alpine bogs don't usualy form in this climate. An alpine bog is a habitat for some animals.

This is a picture of our group leader in front of the cabin. He told us to scetch this so we could have lots of sketches.

This is an old cellar hole eroded and weathered away over time.
